EBRO, FLORIDA

Ebro acquired a post office in 1897 but was a community for unspecified length of time before that. The name Ebro is believed to be after a river in Spain.Logging and naval stores were its’ main industries.Ebro may be able to claim considerable antiquity, mostly because of its’ location near the Choctawhatchee River’s Cowford Crossing.   This crossing was used by Indians long before the Spanish, British and Americans used it as a crossing point.
